The 1920 silent "Terror Island" has a some nice wet scenes with actress Lila Lee, and stars the famous American escape artist Houdini. It's available on DVD.

Thanks waterspaniel. I found this film in Youtube (not complete, unfortunately). There is indeed a very nice scene in a video named Houdini in Terror Island Part Four.
