Whitchurch Bridge was opened to the public on 19th September 2014 after being rebuilt. We were there to see the opening ceremony with a 1902 De Deon Bouton being driven over the bridge to mark the opening. We also revisit the bridge 2 weeks later to take a closer look at the bridge and some of the work that hadn't been done to help with pedestrian safety. Our intrepid reporter was so concerned with the lack of pedestrian safety that she deciders to swim back across the river rather than chance her luck walking across the bridge.
