The Eilat Red Sea event is celebrating its 8th year in a row in Eilat, Israel. By now it's known worldwide as the International Underwater Photography Olympics and recently took place on November 4-10, 2012.
This year, we welcome HP, a world leading global manufacturer of computer systems and technologies, as the main sponsor of the competition. We're looking forward to a successful cooperation that will open the door to many new and exciting opportunities.
The HP Red Sea photo competition is distinguished by exceptional valuable prizes awarded to the winners, including huge cash prizes, diving vacations in dreamy destinations, underwater photo equipment, scuba gear and more. First prize of the main category is a $10,000 check, courtesy of HP!
Hundreds of divers, underwater photographers, videographers, journalists, fashion designers and fans of the sea from all over the world take an advantage of the opportunity every year again for an exciting one-week break from their daily routine in the crystal clear water of the Red Sea. They attend the event to meet interesting and creative people, dive in one of the best locations in the world, photograph colorful fish and pretty models, party all night long and perhaps even win some valuable prizes.
The man behind the scenes and the spirit of the HP Red Sea event is David Pilosof, an experienced underwater photographer who was also the first in the world to introduce the concept of underwater nudity and fashion images, which can be found on one of the most successful photography books ever published - Samantha.
