These are the final moments the DALLAS Season 4 [1980-81] Cliffhanger, ''Ewing-Gate'' [airdate May 1, 1981]

Cliff Barnes has just arrived at Southfork to have a late-night meeting with Bobby Ewing. As he begins to make his way into the house, Cliff notices a woman's lifeless body laying face down in the Southfork pool. He quickly rushes in to aid the woman, who is revealed to be dead, leaving him shcoked at the identitiy, as he knows who the dead woman is. Right then, Cliff hears a noise from the second balcony, in which the gate has been broken off, suggesting that the woman either fell to her death or was pushed off. And right at the balcony enters JR Ewing, drink in hand, with a stone cold expression on his face. Cliff shouts at JR, ''She's dead, you bastard'', and we are left to wonder did JR commit murder.
We also son't know if the identity of the woman is Sue Ellen, who was divorcing JR and would use any means necessary to get her son off of Southfork, or Kristin, back in town to extort JR for money for ''his'' son Christopher, or Pam, who was in cohoots with Sue Ellen to get John Ross off of Southfork.

SPOILER
The dead woman's identity was revealed to be Kristin Shepard, back in town to squeeze JR for more child support money for her infant son Christopher [actually money to support her new drug habit], who was thought to be JR's. She had taken too much PCP and accientally fell off of the balcony to her death.
