AI still has a long way to go, but it's amazing what can already be achieved if you know how to combine tools and models. I remember generating hilariously distorted images not even two years ago and today it is possible to generate minute-long AI videos that are at first glance hard to discern from real videos.
Clearly if you look closer you'll discover tons of artefacts and inconsistencies, but it'll only be a matter of time that those will not be noticeable anymore.
Where does that leave us?
I still strongly believe, that nothing tops "the real thing". However, some settings, stylings, locations, characters and looks will never be possible to recreate in real life. Not with the budget and means of an amateur producer.
And there's a lot less cleanup work when generating AI ??
